I just finished The Wealth Ladder by Nick Maggiulli, and if I had to sum it up in two words, they’d be authentic and practical.
The biggest takeaway for me? You have to be an active participant in your own wealth journey. You can’t just outsource your future to someone else and hope for the best. Nick does a great job of showing how you need to constantly evolve your thinking and stay “learning-based.”
My advice for anyone starting out~
Avoid the noise saying it’s impossible to buy a house or get ahead.
It is never too early to start tracking your net worth.
Study people who have a high net worth and how they grew it.
Set clear, creative goals.
Who should read this?
I’d gift this to any recent grad or young person who feels stuck because of student loans or the housing market. I’d also share it with their parents—this book proves it is never too late to change your path and move to the next level of success.
